Reception is at our home, No. 7 Monash Avenue.

If we are advised of your arrival time we ensure your cottage is warm (or cool in summer), lights and music on - it is secluded and you won't be disturbed during your stay. We are, however, available 24 hours should you require assistance.

OTHER SERVICES

Alcohol - Candlelight Cottages has a liquor licence and offers a choice of De Bortoli wines from their Willowglen range - sparkling wine, a white and a red wine for you at $15 per bottle. Additional bottles of the same wines available from reception.   In addition there is a Mini Bar in your cottages which holds Yarra Valley sparkling, red and white wines,  a selection of beer, mixed drinks, locally made Chocolate bars, Yarra Valley produce for nibbles and treats!

Babysitting - available at $20 per hour.

Ballooning - in the Yarra Valley, we can book you with our favourite – Global Ballooning or go to www.globalballooning.com.au.

Banks - There is a Bendigo Bank ATM in Olinda Village.  Full banking facilities are available at Monbulk.  Bendigo Bank should have a full banking facility in Ridge Road, Mt Dandenong in December, 2009.

Bathrobes - are supplied for your use.

Breakfast - Breakfast is the most special meal of the day. We have chosen beautiful quality muesli, fresh milk, wholemeal bread baked for us by the Mt. Dandenong Bakery, sausages and bacon specially prepared for us by the local butcher. Our eggs are free range and fresh herbs are provided too.  We pride ourselves on sourcing local produce where ever possible. These items are included in your tariff. Special requests for milk or any special breakfast ingredients are welcome - please ask at the time of booking.

Cooked Breakfast - Perhaps you would like a cooked breakfast rather than prepare your own, this service is available and attracts an additional $20 per couple. (not available at Cottage in the Forest).

Check in and check out times - Candlelight Cottage & Cottage in the Village, 2pm check in; 11am checkout.  & A Cottage in the Forest has a 3pm checkin and 12 noon check out from 1/1/2010.

Credit Cards - we accept Bankcard, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Diners. Eftpos is available, however a "cash out" facility is not available. Please note, a 3% surcharge applies to American Express and Diners Club transactions.

Gardens - Candlelight Cottages Retreat is set in 1/3 acre of beautiful mature gardens with 100 year old trees. There are special rhododendrons, camellias and other seasonal delights. However, spectacular gardens abound in the area - make sure you see Cloudehill Gardens & The National Rhododendron Gardens while you stay with us.

Gift Vouchers - We are happy to arrange Gift Vouchers for you and they can be booked online and emailed to you. The vouchers are valid for 6 months.

Hairdressers - nearby in Olinda & Mt Dandenong Villages.

Hairdryers - provided.

Heating & Cooling – all our cottages have airconditioners and heating plus the lovely open fire...

Housekeeping - We respect guest's requirements for privacy and provide you with sufficient towels and food for the length of your stay. If you wish, please contact us for a new supply of towels at any time.

Should you prefer, we are happy to make available daily servicing of cottages. Full service of making the bed, changing towels and setting the fire attracts a fee of $40 per service and can be provided between 12 - 1pm each day. Please discuss your requirements with us.

For people staying 4 days or more, we will come to the cottage on the morning of the 3rd day to remove rubbish, replenish wood, changeover towels and restock food supplies as necessary. This service does not attract an additional fee. (not included in special 5 and 7 day packages – A Real Holiday or A Short Break).

Ironing - Iron and ironing board in each cottage.

Laundry - available through reception.  Candlelight Cottage has laundry facilities.

Massage & Beauty Therapies - we have two favourite providers. Nadine, Balance Therapies (www.balancetherapies.com.au) Balance Therapies has a Day Spa facility locally for guests of Candlelight Cottages (see in cottage compendium, or phone Nadine on 0401008173 to select your treatments).

Olinda Health (www.olindahealth.com.au) has treatment rooms in Olinda Village. Phone 9751 0662 to arrange your appointment.

Mini Bar – your cottage has a mini-bar stocked with Yarra Valley and local products for nibbles and drinks.  In addition there is also a Pasta meal and ice cream available in your fridge – just mark it on your minibar list and pay as you leave.

Movies – There is a selection of DVDs as well as music CDs are in each cottage.

Restaurants - you can walk to around 10 restaurants/cafes from your Cottage in the Village and Candlelight Cottage gates. Cottage in the Forest is only a few minutes drive from the restaurants and Villages.

Spa Baths - two person spas, with glass ceilings above in each in Cottage in the Village and Candellight Cottage for your relaxation. Cottage in the Forest has a big picture window to look out at the ferns from your large spa bath.
